So about a year ago me and my friend Nathan were walking around the “Pick-a-Part” in Clarksville Tennessee… We were searching for car badges and a spoiler to put on his trashy conversion van. While going through the lot we found what is probably the single greatest car to ever drive on any road in the world.
You are looking at… a Dora the Explorer themed gangster car… I’ve seen spongebob themed cars, Newport themed cars, sports team themed cars, but THIS.

I think one of the worst and most toxic things tumblr taught people was that if something is a coping mechanism, it is suddenly above reproach and above questioning, even if said cooing mechanism is rooted in bigotry (claiming dark skin or same gender pda is a valid trigger) or the entire purpose of it is so escape and avoid addressing mental illness (extreme attachment to kin characters to the point of having attacks at seeing someone even tag a post containing their kintypes as “me”) and the discourse that’s surrounded these coping mechanisms has shown how blatantly tumblr users would rather cling to unhealthy coping mechanisms and “uwu everyone is valid” than examine their behavior and attempt to improve their situations
when someone angrily lashes out at others, it’s never about the topic of discussion, it’s always about that someone who lashes out.

I will use one of your examples, claiming dark skin or same gender pda is a valid trigger- it’s got nothing to do with the people who are dark skin or same gender or both engaging in pda. It’s got everything to do with the person who is saying it’s a trigger for them. Not everyone might angrily lash out when triggered, I am thinking more about the bullying type call out posts.
